Hi Iβm Mazie
I'm a wife, a mom to two energetic boys, and a proud dog mom to two rescue pups who are truly considered family members. By day, I work full-time in the corporate world, but my heart has always been drawn to helping people, creating, and building meaningful connections.
For over a decade, I worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Looking back, every chapter of my life has taught me something different. Some seasons challenged me, some helped me grow, and a few introduced me to passions I never expected would become such a meaningful part of who I am today! Those passions are what inspired this space.
This website isn't just about yoga, crochet, or sourdough. It's about living intentionally, making time for movement, creativity, and the people who matter most.
MOVE β’ MAKE β’ CREATE
If you had told me years ago that I'd one day be teaching yoga, selling crochet items, baking sourdough, and sharing all of it with my community, I never would have believed you because none of this was planned and every passion began during a different season of my life.
How It All Beganβ¦
2014
While in college studying to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist, I was supposed to be cramming for finals. Instead, I found myself fascinated by parents crocheting at their childrenβs bedside during hospital stays. I picked up a βTeach Yourself Crochetβ book and a few supplies (the night before my βAdvanced Adult Respiratory Critical Care Techniquesβ final), and taught myself the basics.
2015
After graduating from college and beginning my career in healthcare, I finally felt like I had time to do something just for me. Having grown up as a dancer and spending years on my high school dance team, yoga felt like a familiar way to move my body. I signed up for yoga teacher training simply because I apparently missed being in school and because I wanted to learn more about the practice itself. At the time, I had absolutely no plans to teach.
2018
While I was working nightshift at the hospital I would pick up some yarn and crochet during breaks. A co-worker asked if she could purchase an item for her daughterβs birthday and another coworker came up with the name Homemaziemade. That night my hobby changed to a creative outlet where I design handmade crochet pieces that I love sharing at local markets and craft fairs.
2018
Later that year, something unexpected came along. A friend bought a hobby farm, filled it with goats, and asked if I'd be interested in teaching goat yoga. Of course I said yes.
Around this time I discovered outdoor yoga and was driving to Minneapolis for classes because I couldn't find anything closer to home. But then I thought, if I wished it existed, maybe someone else did too.
2019
After chatting with the City about this idea, we came to an agreement and sunset yoga was able to take place in Maple Grove! Move With Mazie was born. (the same co-worker that came up with the name Homemaziemade also created the name MoveWithMazie, kudos to her!)
Today, I offer summer sunset yoga classes, private yoga sessions, and seasonal pop-up events designed to make movement approachable, welcoming, and fun.
2022
Soon after finishing graduate school, I welcomed my first son. During maternity leave, life naturally slowed down, and for the first time (probably ever), I did too.
Out of curiosity, I decided to try making sourdough. and because thatβs what everyone was doing in 2022.
What began as flour, water, and patience quickly became another creative passion. More than the bread itself, I fell in love with the rhythm of the waiting, the process, and the simple joy of sharing homemade food with the people I love.
2024
In 2024 I was pregnant with my second son, had just started a new corporate job and was craving sourdough but felt too busy to make it. I wish there were someone local I could purchase it from! So before my second child came into this world -
Sunday Kneads was born. Today I bake homemade sourdough for local markets, pop-up events, and made-to-order customers, hoping each loaf brings a little warmth and connection into someone's home.
Thanks For Stopping By
Life is beautifully busy these days.
Between raising two boys, loving on our rescue dogs, working full-time, and making space for the passions that fill my cup, I've learned that balance isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about making time for the things that matter most.
My hope is that this little corner of the internet encourages you to move your body, share something handmade with your loved ones, and create connection with the people around you.
I'm so glad you're here.
Move with intention. Make with heart. Create connection.
On top of everything going on I'm also trying to βreadβ 46 books this year (audiobooks count!!). See where Iβm at and connect with me on goodreads.
